GOMEP-NG Commemorates Mawlid With Muslim Faithfuls Across Nigeria
The Guild of Online Media Editors and Publishers of Nigeria (GOMEP-NG) joins Muslim faithful across Nigeria and beyond in commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
On this special occasion, GOMEP-NG extends warm greetings and felicitations to the Muslim community, recognising the significance of the occasion as a time to reflect on the teachings, virtues and exemplary life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), particularly his messages of peace, compassion, justice, tolerance and love for humanity.
GOMEP-NG notes that Nigeria’s strength lies in its diversity and the peaceful coexistence of people of different faiths and backgrounds. The Guild therefore calls on Nigerians to continue to promote mutual respect, religious tolerance, peaceful coexistence and unity, which remain essential to the nation’s progress and development.
The Guild also encourages Muslim faithful to use the occasion to pray for Nigeria, its leaders and citizens, while renewing their commitment to values that promote peace, social harmony and national development.
GOMEP-NG wishes all Muslim faithful across Nigeria a peaceful and meaningful Mawlid celebration.
