I Understand Ohuhu and Its Challenges; I Won’t Fail If Elected — House of Assembly Aspirant, Dr. Iwuagwu
A House of Assembly aspirant for Umuahia North (Ohuhu) State Constituency under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Arc. Dr. Ben Ugochukwu Iwuagwu, has expressed strong confidence in his ability to deliver effective representation, citing his deep-rooted connection with the Ohuhu clan.
Speaking during his appearance on “Ohuhu Mandate: Why Must It Be You,” a flagship political programme of SwiftBreakingNews today Wednesday 6th May, 2926, Dr. Iwuagwu stated that he possesses firsthand knowledge of the challenges facing the constituency, having spent a significant part of his life living within the community.
According to him, this long-standing familiarity places him in a better position to attract the attention of government and development agencies to the plight of the people.
The university don identified critical developmental concerns affecting the area, particularly the persistent issue of lack of water supply, which he described as a major challenge confronting several communities within Ohuhu.
Dr. Iwuagwu further revealed that, drawing from his professional background as an architect, he has developed a comprehensive blueprint aimed at addressing the water crisis as well as other infrastructural deficits across the constituency.
He noted that the blueprint would be officially unveiled after the conclusion of his party’s primaries, expressing optimism about securing the APC ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The aspirant also pledged to operate an open-door policy if elected, assuring constituents of unrestricted access to their representative and a governance style anchored on inclusiveness and responsiveness.
On his chances of emerging as the party’s candidate, Dr. Iwuagwu expressed confidence in the support of party leaders and members, regardless of whether the APC adopts consensus or direct primaries.
He concluded by assuring the people of Ohuhu of a people-oriented and impactful representation if given the mandate in 2027.
