Hon. Akaliro Urges Ohuhu Constituents to Collect PVCs, Calls for Support for Labour Party in 2027
The Member Representing Umuahia North (Ohuhu) State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Barr. Anderson Kelechi Akaliro, has called on constituents who recently registered for their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) or applied for replacement to take advantage of the ongoing collection exercise at the ward level.
Akaliro reminded eligible voters that INEC officials are expected to be at designated ward centres from October 9 to 15, 2026, for the distribution of PVCs.
He urged the people of Ohuhu to visit their respective ward centres within the stipulated period to collect their cards, stressing the importance of ensuring that no eligible voter is disenfranchised in the forthcoming elections.
The lawmaker described the PVC as the people’s power and voice in choosing their leaders, urging constituents to safeguard their democratic rights by ensuring they possess their cards ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He further called on his constituents to support the Labour Party in the 2027 general elections, urging them to sustain their participation in the democratic process and make their choices through the ballot.
