The Kpakpando People’s Vanguard, a flagship support group of the former Mayor of Umuahia North Local Government Area and Commissioner representing Abia State in the Federal Character Commission, Hon. High-Chief Victor Ikeji, Ph.D. (Kpakpando-Umuahia), has unveiled its state secretariat in Umuahia, Abia State.
The new office, located close to the popular Abia Tower, was unveiled by leaders and members of the group, including Assistant Commandant Emma Ogbuehi (Rtd.), Chief Chukwudi Amaechi (Nkenkenyi), Gideon Okeamah, Kingsley Ibeabuchi, among others.
Speaking during the unveiling, Assistant Commandant Emma Ogbuehi (Rtd.) said the Kpakpando People’s Vanguard is a political association established in line with the vision and political philosophy of its leader, Dr. Victor Ikeji.
Chief Chukwudi Amaechi, in his remarks, urged members of the association to intensify their mobilisation efforts and bring more people into the fold, stressing that a strong grassroots structure would be critical to achieving the group’s political objectives.
Gideon Okeamah also called on members to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), describing voter registration and active participation in the electoral process as essential to effective political mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

At the unveiling, the Kpakpando People’s Vanguard endorsed the re-election bid of Governor Alex Otti, OFR, and called on its members and supporters to support Labour Party candidates in the 2027 elections, in line with the directive of their leader, Dr. Victor Ikeji.
The event was also witnessed by the State Deputy Chairman of the Labour Party, Rev. Andrew Ohiagba, who commended the group for its mobilisation efforts and assured its members of the party’s support in the state.
Also present was the Secretary-General of Abia Arise, Dr. Ibeleme Sylvester, who urged the group to intensify its mobilisation for Governor Alex Otti’s re-election bid.
Dr. Ibeleme commended the Otti administration for what he described as visible transformation across Abia State in less than four years in office. He assured the Kpakpando People’s Vanguard of the support of Abia Arise and the Labour Party in the state, while encouraging the group to strengthen its grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
As part of efforts to build a formidable grassroots structure, the group also inaugurated its unit leaders for the Abia Tower axis.
The Kpakpando People’s Vanguard disclosed that it would, in the coming days, commence a statewide mobilisation tour across the 184 wards in Abia State.
According to the leadership of the group, the tour will involve the inauguration of ward executives and grassroots mobilisation aimed at galvanising support for Governor Alex Otti’s re-election and Labour Party candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The leadership said the ward-by-ward mobilisation would further strengthen the group’s presence across the state, deepen its engagement with communities and voters, and advance its political objectives ahead of the 2027 elections.
