Akaliro Delivers Keynote Address at Methodist Church 16th Annual Women Conference in Umuagu-Ohuhu

The Member representing Umuahia North (Ohuhu) State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Barr. Kelechi Anderson Akaliro, was a keynote speaker at the 16th Annual Women Fellowship Conference of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, Umuahia East Diocese.

The five-day conference commenced on Wednesday, August 12, and concluded on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at the Methodist Church, Umuagu-Ohuhu, bringing together women of the Diocese for fellowship, spiritual reflection, empowerment and community engagement.

Akaliro, who addressed the women as part of the conference programme, shared a goodwill message and encouraged the women to remain committed to their faith, families and the development of their communities.

During the conference, the lawmaker also paid a goodwill visit to the women fellowship, where he presented gifts as a gesture of appreciation and support for their service to the church and society.

The gesture, according to the conference presentation, was aimed at expressing love, encouragement and support for the women while recognising their contributions to the growth of the Methodist Church and the wider community.

The conference provided an opportunity for the women to strengthen their fellowship, share experiences and reflect on their collective role in promoting positive values and community development.

Akaliro’s participation further highlighted his engagement with religious and community groups within the Umuahia North (Ohuhu) constituency and his support for initiatives that promote unity, service and grassroots development.
