TWO PROMINENT ABIA SONS VISIT VICTOR IKEJI, COMMEND HIS PERFORMANCE AT FEDERAL CHARACTER COMMISSION
Two prominent sons of Abia State, Senator Darlington Nwokocha (Darloo) and Chief Ernest Edozie (Holy), Chief Executive Officer of Rixos Continental Hotel, Umuahia, have separately visited the Federal Commissioner representing Abia State at the Federal Character Commission, Hon. High-Chief Victor Ikeji, Ph.D. (Kpakpando-Umuahia).
The separate visits, which took place at different times within the week, brought together three prominent Abians whose paths, though shaped by different spheres of business, politics and public service, converged around a shared interest in the progress and development of Abia State.
Senator Darlington Nwokocha (Darloo), the Labour Party candidate for the Abia Central Senatorial District in the 2027 general election, visited the Federal Commissioner to identify with Dr. Ikeji and commended him for the good work he has been doing since his appointment.

During the visit, Dr. Ikeji congratulated Senator Nwokocha on his emergence as the Labour Party’s candidate for the Abia Central Senatorial District and assured him of his support to ensure he returns to the Senate to reclaim his God-given mandate.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for both Abia sons to exchange views on issues of importance to the state and the need for continued commitment to the advancement of the people.

In a separate visit, Chief Ernest Edozie (Holy), CEO of Rixos Continental Hotel, Umuahia and a kinsman of Dr. Ikeji, also paid him a courtesy visit, while commending him for his efforts in representing Abia State at the Federal Character Commission.
Chief Edozie seized the opportunity to thank Dr. Alex Otti for finding a son of Umukabia and Ohuhu worthy of recommendation to Mr. President for appointment into the exalted position.
Dr. Ikeji welcomed his kinsman who he described as his brother and useful discussions were held on how best the people of Umukabia and Abians in general can benefit from the equitable distribution of recruitment opportunities as well as distribution of infrastructural and social amenities.
The visits by Senator Nwokocha and Chief Edozie are therefore significant not merely as courtesy calls, but as expressions of appreciation and encouragement for a public officer entrusted with representing the interests of Abia at the federal level.
For Dr. Ikeji, the commendations also come with the responsibility to sustain the momentum and to continue to make the interests of Abia people a central part of his assignment.
