FG Opens Portal for Nigerians to Apply for Digital Device Loan Scheme

The Federal Government has officially opened applications for its Credit for Laptops, Internet, Connectivity and Knowledge Digital Devices (C.L.I.C.K.D.) Programme, an initiative designed to help eligible Nigerians acquire laptops, smartphones, tablets and other digital devices through affordable consumer credit.

The programme, implemented by the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP), is aimed at reducing the financial burden of purchasing digital devices by allowing beneficiaries to pay in structured instalments instead of making full upfront payments. The initiative also seeks to promote digital inclusion and support Nigeria’s growing digital economy, while prioritising locally assembled devices.

According to CREDICORP, the scheme is open to eligible Nigerians, including salary earners, students, freelancers, job seekers, business owners and NYSC members, subject to meeting the programme’s requirements and verification process. Applicants are expected to complete an online expression of interest before further assessment.

Interested applicants can begin the application process through the official C.L.I.C.K.D. portal:

Applicants should note that the scheme is a consumer credit programme, not a grant, meaning approved beneficiaries will repay the cost of the approved digital devices over an agreed period.
