In a declaration message made available to the public, Arc. Iwuagwu appealed to the people of Ohuhu, also known as Umuahia North State Constituency, to support his aspiration to emerge as the APC flag bearer ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The academic and development expert stated that his decision to contest was borne out of his desire to serve the people and contribute positively to policy formulation and grassroots development in Ohuhu.
According to him, his administration, if elected, would prioritize efficiency in service delivery, inclusiveness, and active engagement with constituents through periodic town hall meetings and feedback mechanisms aimed at improving representation.
He noted that Ohuhu deserves a representative with integrity, competence, and a clear vision, stressing that his leadership style is rooted in fairness, accountability, honour, and practical problem-solving.
The APC aspirant further pledged to champion policies and sponsor bills that would improve healthcare, education, skills acquisition, job creation, and infrastructure development across the constituency.
Iwuagwu also promised welfare programmes for the elderly and vulnerable, as well as economic projects capable of generating employment opportunities and wealth for the people.
Speaking on his background, he highlighted his over 20 years experience in academia, maintaining that his professional journey has equipped him with the capacity to deliver results and exceed expectations in public service.
He assured the people that, if elected, he would be vocal at the Abia State House of Assembly and ensure that his voice reflects the collective interests of the people rather than personal ambitions.
Describing the moment as a turning point for Ohuhu, Iwuagwu urged the people to embrace transformation and support a leadership that understands their struggles and aspirations.
He concluded by seeking prayers and support from the people of Ohuhu to secure the APC ticket, promising not to betray the confidence reposed in him if given the opportunity to serve.
